PTO Parent Seminar
As we progress through the spring months, our schools are hosting a variety of concerts and performances. The Eisenhower Middle School (EMS) Jazz Band played at the FLOW Jazz Night earlier this month, and Washington School’s first and second graders are performing songs for their parents today. The 5th graders across WSD visited EMS this week as a group, and their parents attended the 5th to 6th Grade Transition Night where current 6th graders toured them around the school. Our faculty and staff work hard to give our students the tools they need to successfully transition from elementary to middle school.

State Invites Public Input on Student Learning Standards
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has proposed new student learning standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. These standards are now open for public input. See NJDOE’s April 5 Memo here (pdf) for more information.
PTO to Host Parent Seminar
The Wyckoff PTO Coordinating Council will host Jack Berckemeyer on May 9 at 7:30pm at Eisenhower Middle School. Berckemeyer offers realistic and practical hands-on tools for parents and teachers to increase success for middle-level students. The seminar is open to all WSD parents.
School Board to Hold Annual Budget Hearing
The school board will hold its annual public budget hearing on Monday, April 24th at Eisenhower Middle School at 6:30pm during the regular monthly school board meeting. Planned revenues and appropriations for the 2023 - 2024 school year will be presented.
