Dear Wyckoff Families,

As we welcome the month of April, we also take time to honor the many individuals who make our schools thrive. This month brings several important recognitions, including National School Paraprofessional (Aide) Appreciation Day, National School Librarian Day, National Assistant Principal Week, School Volunteer Appreciation Week, National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and Administrative Professionals’ Day. Each observance provides an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and support of those who serve our students in meaningful and often behind-the-scenes ways. We are grateful for all they do.

✏️ NJSLA Testing

Looking ahead, the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA) for students in grades 3–8 will take place from May 5 to May 30. Attendance during this period is essential. Please review the letter from our Assistant Superintendent for grade-specific testing dates and additional information.

📚 2023–2024 New Jersey School Performance Reports

The New Jersey School Performance Reports for the 2023–2024 school year have been released by the state Department of Education. You can view them here. These reports offer valuable insight into our schools’ progress and next steps for continued growth.

🌍 Celebrating Student Achievement

Congratulations to Eisenhower Middle School students Jack Adler and Carl McDowell, who qualified for advanced levels at the recent regional Geography Bee competitions. We also congratulate the EMS Model UN team for winning the Best Medium Delegation award at GCMUN 2025 in New York City, where they competed against over 2,000 students from around the world. Several students also earned individual awards for their outstanding performances. These exceptional students will be recognized at upcoming Board of Education meetings. We thank our teachers for their support in helping students reach these remarkable achievements.

🎶 Spring Concerts & ⚾ Spring Sports

Our spring concerts are in full swing, showcasing the incredible talent of our students. We are proud of their performances and the hard work they’ve put into preparing. At the middle school, baseball, softball, and spring track are starting next week, and we look forward to seeing the student-athletes in action. The full schedule is available on the EMS website. Thanks to our coaches and music teachers for fostering teamwork and artistic growth.

Sincerely,

Dr. Postma
