Students Featured on CBS News, New Principal Visits EMS, Retirees Honored by School Board, Eighth Graders Receive Awards

Chris Wragge of CBS Channel 2 News visited Lincoln School this week to speak with fifth-grade students about his experience and background in broadcasting. Hosted by Principal Mr. Lee and technology teacher Mr. Patanella, Mr. Wragge was interviewed and filmed by several students who had gained experience in broadcasting this year through the Wyckoff Education Foundation’s grant program in video production and video podcasting. New Principal Visits EMS
Incoming Eisenhower Middle School principal Mr. Faehndrich visited Eisenhower Middle School (EMS) on Wednesday for a meet and greet with parents and current middle school students. Mr. Faehndrich will officially join WSD as the EMS Principal on July 1. We are grateful for Mrs. Corso’s thoughtful leadership and care for EMS students in her interim year this year as EMS principal, and we look forward to a smooth and successful transition for our students and staff as Mr. Faehndrich takes the helm in a few short weeks.
School Board Honors Retirees
At their monthly meeting this past Monday, the Wyckoff Board of Education honored the teachers, secretaries and aides retiring at the end of this school year. We thank these professionals who have devoted their career to serving our students and schools, and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
Eighth Graders Receive Awards for High Achievement
The annual Grade 8 Awards ceremony was held on Monday at EMS. Select students were honored with monetary awards for their outstanding achievement in academics, character, athletics and the arts. These awards came from a variety of donors who have generously established annual scholarships for high-achieving students who meet the designated criteria. Congratulations to all students who were honored at this prestigious ceremony.
