WSD Students Win Battle of the Books, Summer Academies Return, Summer Reading and Library Offerings

Two teams of students in grades six through eight competed in the annual Battle of the Books Competition held in Upper Saddle River last week. Teams hailed from Ramsey, Midland Park, Allendale, Upper Saddle River and Wyckoff. The EMS 7/8 Team won first place and brought home the trophy, and the EMS 6 Team won second place. Summer Academies Return
The Wyckoff Summer Academies program will return in July with a host of academic and enrichment offerings for elementary and middle school students. Classes are taught by WSD teachers and staff. Registration is now closed and families have been contacted with class assignments. The Ramapo-Indian Hills Regional High School District offers a Summer Academy program for current and incoming high schoolers - information and registration forms can be found on their website at rih.org.
Summer Reading and Library Offerings
Recommended summer reading lists for Grades K-8 have been posted on the WSD website at wyckoffps.org. The Ramapo-Indian Hills Regional High School District has listed summer assignments for incoming and current high schoolers on their website at rih.org. The Wyckoff Public Library offers a Summer Reading Club for children entering PreK to Grade 5, as well as a host of summer events.
