At Monday’s school board meeting, Mr. John Doller, WSD Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds, presented to the school board the various upgrades and projects that our district’s maintenance team completed over the past year. Projects included refurbishing the Sicomac School media center and Coolidge School art room, as well as upgrading various bathrooms, repaving parking lots and more. We appreciate our maintenance team and all they do for the students and staff of Wyckoff every day.

Wyckoff School District Earns Outstanding Financial Reporting Award

We are proud to announce that the Wyckoff School District has been awarded the 2021 Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). ASBO’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program's high standards for financial reporting and transparency. This is the 19th year in a row that the District has earned this distinguished award.

Fall Clubs Launched at EMS

The school board approved the fall clubs at the middle school this week, and these afterschool activities are now getting underway. Club offerings include technology design, photography, ultimate frisbee and more. Clubs are one way that we personalize learning and build a caring community here in WSD. Middle school students are encouraged to review the offerings and select a club of interest.

National Junior Honor Society Chapter Established

Congratulations to Eisenhower Middle School on the establishment of the National Junior Honors Society chapter. The idea to establish a chapter was raised by student Isabella Van Slooten, who will join with fellow qualifying students under the guidance of their teacher advisor Mr. DiMichele to launch this exciting new initiative at EMS.

Eagle Scout Recognized by School Board

At Monday’s business meeting, the Wyckoff Board of Education recognized WSD alum Colin Weichmann for his attainment of the Eagle Scout Award. Wiechmann began as a Tiger Cub in Pack 110 and progressed through the ranks over the years, holding many troop positions including Den Chief, Librarian, Patrol Leader, Instructor, Quartermaster and Senior Patrol Leader. For his Eagle Scout project, Weichmann designed and installed a patio and two benches on the playground of the Wyckoff Reformed Church Nursery School. We congratulate Colin Wiechmann for this outstanding achievement.
