Next week, we will gather with families and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving. I wish each of our students, families and staff a wonderful holiday. We are grateful for the many blessings we have here in the Wyckoff schools, with our passionate and dedicated staff, our hard-working students, and the partnership of our parents and families. The Wyckoff School District is committed to building a caring community, pursuing excellence in all endeavors, and personalizing learning for each student. We can carry this vision out only with the help of each other, and we appreciate the commendable efforts of our staff and the support of our community as we strive to serve our students in the best ways possible.

Coolidge Instructional Coach Published
We are proud to share that Coolidge instructional coach Ms. Jigisha Vyas recently had two instructional books published by Scholastic. The series, titled Read-Alouds with Heart and co-authored by Dana Clark and Keisha Carrington Smith, is designed for use by K-5 literacy teachers. We commend Ms. Vyas’ pursuit of excellence on behalf of the Wyckoff School District. Ms. Vyas was also invited to speak at this week's annual convention for the National Council of Teachers of English. The session was titled: "Big Hearted Read Aloud: Using Picture Books as a Vehicle for Literacy Learning, Social Comprehension, and SEL."
Former NY Giant Visits Lincoln School
Former NY Giants tight end Rhett Ellison visited Lincoln School yesterday to grant an interview to fifth grade students. During the visit, coordinated by Lincoln School parent Larry Berger, Ellison shared stories from his time playing football at USC, his NFL experience, and life after the NFL, including living here in Wyckoff. The interview will be broadcast as part of the school’s “Lion’s Den” series, made possible by the Wyckoff Education Foundation’s donation of broadcasting equipment to each school last year.
